[ PS: I already posted this on the SPM forum, but reposting here as lot of procurement folks might know the answer]
SAP SRM can maintain supplier hierarchies where the hierarchy nodes are text nodes. ECC can also maintain hierarchies (RSH1) where each hierarchy node is a real vendor-purchasing org combination.
From an integration to BI and SPM point of view, which is a better model?
My understanding is that SPM does not support text nodes as standard.
BI on the other hand has standard extractors from SAP SRM for supplier hierarchies. It uses these hierarchy on "contract management" reports.
So which is a better source system for modelling hierarchies which can be visible across reporting landscape.
