Hi All,
I have been working on SAP SLC 2.0 SP02 implementation for the first time.
So far i have found few limitations of SAP SLC 2.0 SP02, that i want to list here.
I would also want you all to add your thoughts on the Limitation and Suggestions for Improvements.
Limitation
- SAP SLC has an option to specify multiple addresses in Buy side for a supplier i.e. Bill-From Address , Ship-From Address , Ordering Address. However if you maintain different address here and replicate this vendor to SAP ECC system, it does not partner function for these vendors in ECC with these addresses. According to me SAP SLC should have created multiple vendor addresses in SAP ECC system and linked them to the main vendor with different partner functions.
Suggestions for Improvement
- SAP SLC Sell Side User interface is still created using SAP BSP technology which does not have lot of flexiblity when it comes to enhancement. Sell side screens should be created using SAP WebDynpro ABAP / SAP UI5 technology.
- Currently if we want to ask Supplier to send us any certificate as part of a qualification process then there is no option for supplier to forward this request to any other user (their Insurance agent for e.g.) who can respond on supplier's behalf for that certificate. If this can be allowed it would be a great inclusion to keep SLC in demand against other players like IBM Emptoris.
I will keep on adding more Limitations and Suggestions for Improvements as and when i encounter them.
I would encourage others also to add their limitations or suggestions.
