Differences in the search for product category

Experts,

 

we've a curious behavior in our purchase orders (Extended Classic Scenario). Our professional buyer has to complete the purchase order with the missing components, i.e. vendor and also product category. On the overview screen I already have the product category field and I'm able to add the entry. If I use the search help for the field (field ID: ITEMS_TABLE_PRO_CAT_EDITOR) I get the complete list of product categories.

Now I go to the detail screen of the first item and also use the search help (field ID: PRODUCT_CATEGORY) and I get a limited list of categories which seems to be correct for me. We have a limitation on the categories in the org. structure (PPOMA_BBP) in the extended attributes. We use * for all categories but we also have added some single categories and excluded them.

In the detail screen we see exactly what we expected to see, but in the overview we get a different result? For both fields I see the same search mask!


Any idea where this different behavior is coming from?
